Accused by Janice Cantore Review

Accused
by Janice Cantore
I really wasn't sure about this book when I first started reading it.  It seem like it was going nowhere, but I decided to stick it out.  The more I read, the more I got drawn into the book until I struggled to put it down.  In the end, I'm glad I did not give up on it and finished it.

Reading this book, the main character seemed to have everything going against her in life.  No matter what she did, she found herself in the middle of situations that she was trying to avoid.  She wasn't sure if she had what it took to do what needed to be done and she wasn't sure who she could trust.

Most people would have given up in the situation that the main character was in and would have said, leave the task to someone else.  However, Carly knew that it was up to her to take the ball and run with it.  She knew she had a purpose and it kept her going through all kinds of circumstances she found herself in.

The Thirteenth Gift

The Thirteenth Gift
By Charlene Costanzo
To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about this book.  Reading, The Thirteenth Gift by Charlene Costanzo has left me wondering exactly what I did read.  I'm almost at the point of going back to re-read the book to see if it makes more sense.  I get the general gist of what the book is about, but in some ways, I'm more lost now than I was when I started reading it.

It has a nice flow to this book and the story is one that you can follow.  However, when I first started reading it, the plot seemed to be going in a different direction than what I was reading.  So at first, it threw me off in what the book was about and it was not until I finally got my directions, that I began to see how it fit together.  It is not a very long book which made it a very quick and easy read.

As far as the subject matter goes, I like the message that comes together at the end of the book.  It feels right and in some ways, it feels familiar to me, but I can't quite put my finger on the reason why.  Of course, this makes it challenging to review this book, because part of me gets it and part of me still doesn't fully understand The Thirteenth Gift.

Long Time Coming

Long Time Coming
By Vanessa Miller
Fortunately this was a free book that I downloaded from Bookbub.com.  However, if I would have realized it was a very Christian oriented book, I most likely would have passed on purchasing Long Time Coming.  I respect the right for all those that want to read Christian books, but they are definitely not my thing.  I would rather see an author or publisher be a little more upfront in the book description on Amazon that this is a Christian book.  If it was stated, than I missed that fact before my purchase.

With all of this said, it was a good book.  It had a very good plot line.  Actually there were two plot lines running at the same time. with one plot being more dominant than the other.  It was intriguing and kept me wondering exactly what was going to happen.  I had my suspicions early on, but the book went a little different than what I thought it would.

It is an inspiring read about some very difficult struggles the main character had to face in her life.  The decisions were not easy and depended upon being patient with others to make decisions that impacted her life.
